This post covers free alternative instruction to help obtain the Google for Education Certified Educator Level 1 & 2 with video-based training in a self-paced format.

Before You Start.
Before starting with the alternative, please go through the official training (15 hours) because it is education-focused. The alternative here focuses on the workplace, from which educators can extrapolate.
Alternate Training.
After completing the official Level 1 and 2 training, the alternate is an excellent option to try again.
GEGs.
Google Educator Groups can help in obtaining certifications through advice and moral support. Consider joining a local GEG.
Applied Digital Skills.
The estimated training for this will be approximately 20 hours. However, focusing what the areas that need improvement, the time can be significantly reduced.
- Google Workspace Collection:
- Google Docs, Drive, Sheets, Slides, and Gmail.
- Organize Your Day with Google Calendar,
- Create Quizzes in Google Forms,
- Communicate With Your Team Using Google Chat:
- Google Chat, Drive, and Gmail.
- Digital Citizenship Collection:
- NOTE: Depending on time, skip Build Healthy Digital Habits if needed. This training is an additional 8 hours.
- Google Sheets, Docs, Drive, Drawings, Slides, Meet, Sites, and Search.

Additional Training.
Applied Digital Skills does not have Google Classroom or Groups training. Look at YouTube to learn more about
