This post covers free alternative instruction to help obtain the Google for Education Certified Educator Level 1 & 2 with video-based training in a self-paced format.

Before You Start.

Before starting with the alternative, please go through the official training (15 hours) because it is education-focused. The alternative here focuses on the workplace, from which educators can extrapolate.

Alternate Training.

After completing the official Level 1 and 2 training, the alternate is an excellent option to try again.

GEGs.

Google Educator Groups can help in obtaining certifications through advice and moral support. Consider joining a local GEG.

Applied Digital Skills.

The estimated training for this will be approximately 20 hours. However, focusing what the areas that need improvement, the time can be significantly reduced.

Google wants to hear about the Applied Digital Skills experience. Consider filling out this survey.

Additional Training.

Applied Digital Skills does not have Google Classroom or Groups training. Look at YouTube to learn more about
