Use Google Tour Builder When Explaining Timelines and Locations

Google Tour Builder is a great timeline and location presentation. As your presentation moves along, the map location updates.

Though it was originally meant for military and veterans to keep track of their "tours" (hence the name), Tour Builder is used for anyone to share experiences by using Google Maps.

However, the educational use for this is beyond it's original intent. Explaining timelines and locations can be an immersive experience by using photos or videos, dates, text, and locations. Since these "tours" can be shared with anyone, students can have the lessons to review as needed.
